Setting Up The Chemical Hose Process

Setting up the chemical hose process (explainer figures and videos below):

  1. Connect the Female end of Garden hose to customer’s spigot and turn the spigot on.
  2. Connect Male end of garden hose to buffer water tank on the truck
  3. Unreel the Chemical hose and walk it to the cleaning area
  4. Open bleach tank and insert the chemical source tube (PVC drop stick with 1/2″ tubing)) from the pro-mix-a-lot into the tank
  5. Set the flush valve on the pro mix a lot to draw from the bleach line
    1. The flush valve is above the bleach dial and has one hose that goes to the bleach tank and one hose that goes to the water tank
    2. You can follow the arrows on the three-way flush valve to determine their flow – a valve turned down draws from the right hose, a valve turned to the right draws from the water hose
  6. On the Pro Mix-A-Lot, set the bleach valve to 5 and water valve to fully open (valve turned to the up position)
  7. If using a pump driven by an air compressor:
    1. Turn air compressor on/off switch to on
    2. Turn on choke
    3. Pull start cord to turn on air compressor
    4. Repeat again if it does not start
    5. If still not starting, turn off choke and pull start cord
    6. Once running, ensure choke is off
  8. If using an electric pump:
    1. Turn pump switch on
