Cleaning Technician Training – Day 1

Day 1 Topics:

  • Complete New Hire Checklist
  • Complete New Hire Safety Training
  • Training Expectations
    • Checklist Training: Understand checklists for each job, be able to complete “Cleaning Process Checklist”
    • Truck Training: how to remove hoses/ladders/tools from truck, how to put hoses/ladders/tools back on truck, use GPS, identification and location of tools, how to start & turn off the air compressor/pressure washer/water pump, how to use Pro mix alot, turning tank valve on and off
    • Window Cleaning:
      • Cleaning Measurable:
        • At end of 2 days (16 hours training): Be able to clean 30 panes by squeegee and 45 panes by WFP per hour. Be able to clean 20 windows (40 panes, 20 screens, & 20 tracks), set up and tear down in 4 hours or less.
        • At end of 30 days: Be able to clean 45 panes by squeegee and 55 panes by WFP per hour. Be able to clean 20 windows (40 panes, 20 screens, & 20 tracks), set up and tear down in 2.5 hours or less.
      • Knowledge Measurable: Be able to identify tools, how to mix soap, how to change and cut rubber, when to use steel wool/magic eraser/scraper, how to properly/safely change scraper, straight pull technique, fanning technique, dry rag and wet rag method, remove and install storm windows, setup and put away wfp, properly clean window by wfp
    • Gutter Cleaning: At the end of 1 day:
      • Cleaning Measurable:
        • At end of 1 day: Be able to set up, clean a medium size home, and clean up in 2 hours.
        • At end of 14 days: Be able to set up, clean a medium size home, and clean up in 1 hour.
      • Knowledge Measurable: know how to make basic gutter repairs (zip screw downspout attachments, anchor screw into wall to secure downspout), identify all tools required to complete job, set up for job, clean up for job, how to leave space cleaner than when arrived, gutter cleaning order of operations, properly bag debris, properly move and set up ladders
    • Surface Cleaning:
      • Cleaning Measurable: Be able to set up, treat, clean, and rinse patio and side walk in 1 hour 30 minutes.
      • Knowledge Measurable: Complete knowledge of tools, chemicals, plant safety setup, and tear down
    • House Washing
      • Cleaning Measurable: Be able to set up, treat clean and rinse siding and porch of medium sized home in 2 hours.
      • Knowledge Measurable: Complete knowledge of tools, chemicals, plant safety setup, and tear down
    • Roof Treatment
      • Cleaning Measurable: Be able to set up, and treat entire roof of a medium sized home in 2 hours.
      • Knowledge Measurable: Complete knowledge of tools, chemicals, plant safety setup, and tear down
    • Dryer Vent Cleaning
      • Cleaning Measurable: Be able to set up, and clean a regular dryer and vent tube in 45 minutes
      • Knowledge Measurable: Complete knowledge of tools, chemicals, plant safety setup, and tear down
    • Customer Interaction Training
      • Knowledge Measurable: Be able to properly park vehicle, be able to properly greet customer, be able to properly present workorder and review work, be able to do pre-inspection checklist, be able to complete task and have do walk through with customer.
    • Customer Factor Training
      • Knowledge Measurable: Be able to present and complete workorder with client, be able to check schedule, send text message
