Packing up the Garden Hose (Preview)
How to Pack Up the Garden Hose:
- Turn off the customer’s water spigot
- Disconnect our garden hose from the spigot
- Be careful of water that may spray up from the pressure relief valve
- Reconnect all of the customer’s original equipment; including a splitter, hoses, and/or water timers
- Turn the water back on if the customer has a water timer on or if the water was on when you arrived.
- Lay hose out in a serpentine fashion – laying flat on the ground and evenly winding back and forth without any kinks or knots
- Walk the hose back to the truck
- Connect the quick-connect to the male end of the hose
- Connect the quick-connect to the quick-connect fitting of the hose reel
- Ensure that the hose-sleeve is guarding the hose from the sharp lip of the hose reel
- Reel the hose back onto the reel neatly
- Make the knot in the hose loop and connect to the manifold
